YEAR IN SEARCH / 2019




Every year, Google produces a film that reflects on the past year’s most searched and top trending queries. In 2019, Google’s Brand Studio developed an interactive companion site to the Year in Search film, offering a content-rich experience with additional trends-based insights for users to explore.



As part of the creative team behind the interactive experience, I developed a number of responsive prototypes that could serve time-sensitive context with each specific clip as the film progressed. In several variants — as well as the final product — users could also navigate both the video and trend insights through scrolling or swiping gestures.
